Title Sequences

In this task we had to screen grab three title sequences and discuss the titles, fonts, colour and sound etc.

This title sequence really appealed to me because when it was shown on the video 'the title design of Saul Bass' the words appeared one by one which i thought was creative because it suited the background of the different coloured squares. The use of black and white colours for the title makes it bold and stand out which is why the background colours are good because they are not to bright and they contrast the title which automatically brings attention to the title. It was made in 1955 after the war to promote pop culture which is why the fast paced music fits in well with the video. Also the music is a typical opening sound used in 1950's films.
